Personal Information:

General:

I got my BS and MS from Brigham Young Univeristy (BYU) in the field of computer science, specializing in computer vision and image processing. My master's thesis involved a new method for brightness-invariant color segmentation for a robotic guidance system, with segmentation-driven color stereo matching and panoramic imaging. I spent 3 years with the Stage 3 Research Group in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University (in Pittsburgh, PA) doing Virtual Reality research and working on the Alice 3-D Graphics programming environment. While in Pittsburgh, I met my wife, Naomi. About a year after we got married, we moved to Springville, UT, and lived there for about five years, while I worked for Crystal Canyon Interactive (now defunct) and VMI as a computer programmer. We now live in Sierra Vista, AZ, and I still work as a computer programmer.
